“Before entering pharmacy school, I worked at a local hospice where I had the opportunity to lead and gain more insight into the health care field. That experience inspired me to continue pursuing a career in health care, as I deeply valued the relief patients and their families felt when receiving our care.
For many doctor of pharmacy students like myself, scholarships are crucial in helping us pursue our academic and professional dreams. They also recognize academic achievements, extracurricular involvement, leadership qualities and community service. To the donors, sponsors and supporters of scholarships, thank you for believing in us and investing in our futures. Your generosity makes a world of difference and we are deeply appreciative.”

Community impact
“Thank you for doing this health fair! What a great community service. The students were very helpful and took their responsibilities seriously. They were patient and informative. I liked that I can ask a lot of questions about my medications and Medicare pharmacy coverage for next year.”
— Medicare Part D Outreach Clinic attendee
“Participating in our Diabetes Care Clinics has allowed me to enhance my patient-care skills through the many consultations on diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol management. Having our preceptors with us has been invaluable, as they offer guidance on effective counseling and provide insights on improving our screening techniques.”
— Ailan Reyes ’25
“What I found most important to my success in the program are the meetings, the learning and those ‘aha’ moments. The students are knowledgeable about the chemistry of food and the human body. It’s reassuring to hear from others in class that they share the same frustrations and successes. It helped me feel less alone in this journey to live a long and healthy life.”
— Diabetes Care Prevention Program participant
